Journal
Studia paedagogica is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University. The editorial office of the journal is based at the Department of Educational Sciences.
Studia paedagogica publishes original contributions related to education, upbringing, and learning in all spheres of social life. The journal features theoretical papers but focuses primarily on empirical studies – its aim is to publish research conducted at Czech as well as international academic institutions. Emphasis is placed on the originality and innovativeness of published studies. The journal provides space both for established experts and for early-career authors at the beginning of their academic path. The latter are offered the opportunity to publish in the Student Papers section, along with intensive editorial support during the preparation of their manuscripts.
A distinctive feature of the journal is its interdisciplinary openness – it seeks to capture current topics in educational research, while remaining receptive to studies grounded in other social sciences. The journal is published three times a year: two thematic issues in English and one non-thematic issue in Czech.
Studia paedagogica is indexed in the international scholarly database SCOPUS.
