Visiting Research Programme
The Visiting Researcher Programme at the Department of Educational Sciences offers scholars at various career stages the opportunity to conduct research in an engaging academic environment. The programme is open to doctoral students, junior researchers, and senior scholars whose work aligns with the department’s research scope or is connected to its ongoing research projects and academic activities.
We offer two distinct options:
1. Visiting Doctoral Researcher Track
For advanced PhD students whose research aligns with the department’s expertise.
Opportunities:
- Independent research within an internationally connected academic environment.
- Possibility to present doctoral research and receive feedback.
- Participation in research seminars, methodology workshops, and roundtables.
- ECTS Credits Available:
- Doctoral Seminar (15 ECTS credits):
- Individual consultations with faculty members.
- Methodological support for doctoral research.
- Regular monitoring of dissertation progress.
- Dissertation Research (5 ECTS credits):
- Individual field research under the supervision of a faculty supervisor or consultant.
- Doctoral Seminar (15 ECTS credits):
- Access to shared office space (subject to availability) and Faculty library resources.
Requirements:
- Must be enrolled in a PhD programme at a recognized university.
- Research must relate to the department’s scope or ongoing projects.
- Expected to participate actively in the academic life of the department.
2. Visiting Researcher Track
For postdoctoral, junior, and senior researchers working in education, social pedagogy and andragogy.
Opportunities:
- Conduct independent or collaborative research in a supportive academic setting.
- Engage in the department’s research activities, including:
- Weekly seminars, roundtables, and debates.
- Collaboration on publications and research projects.
- Methodology workshops.
- Organize a seminar or workshop to present ongoing research.
- Access to the Faculty library and databases, and, when available, shared office space.
Requirements:
- A strong research background with publications or ongoing projects.
- A demonstrated connection between the applicant’s research and the department’s focus.
- Active participation in the academic community during the visit.

Application Requirements
All applicants must submit:
- Motivation letter, explaining the relevance of their research to the department.
- Academic CV.
- Plan for the research stay and, if needed, a research proposal outlining the project and expected outcomes.
